I've searched but could find no specific answer to this question:

Are the HSN Tracfone LG phones with the minutes/text/data tied to the plan for the entire year? I'm a total newbie with HSN deals....

If I order the phone+plan package can I immediately activate the plan on a different Tracfone that I already own that is presently unused and save the new phone for a later usage with Tracfone?

Alternatively, if I do activate the new phone with the package deal plan immediately, can I swap in a different phone later, or am I stuck for the year.

Hopefully someone here has "been there, done that" or knows the answer and could help me out in my planning.

BTW, I called Tracfone several times and received conflicting answers each time, so I can't rely on anything they tell me.

Thanks very much in advance for any help.

... Not sure exactly what you mean.

... No, the plan package is applied to the phone it comes with. You must activate it to get the plan package.

... Yes, you can xfer from the new phone to another phone later.

I hope this helps.

Phone can be activated and then x-ferred to anothe phone. There are concerns as to simcard size, gsm to cdma, etc. Bottom line these are not hard to overcome, just time consuming and not frustration proof. Not trying to discourage you, just stating facts. The 'plan' that comes with the phone is for a year with stated amount of time/text/data. These can all be x-ferred to another phone after activation of the purchase, but as has been suggested wait a day or two after activating.Activation can be done online and transfers as well through chat. Tons of info here on HOFO! You'll get over newbie' in no time.

There is the possibility of swapping the SIM from the HSN phone to your other phone (and back again later), if both phones are CDMA and the phones use the same size SIM. I say CDMA because all HSN bundles seem to be CDMA/Verizon.

BUT you cannot re-activate the HSN phone until you break the connection between the SIM and the phone`s IMEI. Only one active SIM per phone IMEI...the first SIM deactivates when activating a second SIM.

When transferring service to another SIM or phone the three buckets + days of service + phone number must normally transfer together as a package.
