It looks like Verizon will finally release the consumer LTE Network Extender on June 30th. Once again it will be $249 but if you really have fringe coverage, I bet that support will hand them out like the CDMA version for free for those that really need the coverage.

It's a little late but it should help in cases where you are bringing an unlocked phone and won't have access to Wifi Calling. Glad to see it finally being released.

You need a 10-20Mbps broadband service to connect it to.
It does not say if you will use your mobile data when connecting to it.
For me, my in-home LTE signal isn't great, but I use my WiFi connection at home.
Outside, the LTE signal is fine.

Does anyone know if that Verizon LTE Extender for Enterprise also needs a separate broadband service, or does that Enterprise Extender instead work like a signal amplifier?
