Strange as now it shows the upgrade is only available 11/2019. I haven't touched anything

I think they have patched the web site to half-handle the free plan.but it is not reliable at all for the free plan.

It jumps around all the time from eligible to not eligible to eligible a year from now. I do not think they are going to honor what it says if it is way off (which it often is).

Really I think it is best to ignore it until you get in the ballpark of 4 months, and then call the 8777 number for an exact date.

I'm 5 months into the BYOD 1 year free Sprint program. After 120 days I was qualified for an upgrade through Sprint.com

Starting Black Friday Best Buy was offering $200 off on an iPhone 8 256GB with 24 month installment payments and payments on AppleCare+ with no contract required as far as I know, so I went for it.

After problems trying to place an upgrade order on Best Buy's site, a week later I received a notification that my phone was ready for pick up. Supposedly it went through as an upgrade.

(Probably unnecessary step) Just to try make sure that Sprint didn't lock my phone, when I received the phone I unlocked it by putting it in DFU mode and restoring iOS through iTunes and then activated it with a Verizon Sim. I got a message saying it was unlocked.

Then I did a web chat with Sprint and got it activated in my byod free plan.

So I think I managed an upgrade away from Sprint.com

Sprint is telling us that you need to change your plan before you can upgrade.

How did you pass that?
