Lol, yeah, my wife feels the same way but I do try to help out where I can. She was mad when we first migrated to this plan since we lost unlimited high-speed data but over the years, we both have gotten used to the slower speeds off WiFi.

It was great chatting with you and good luck with T-Mobile and the MI lines, if you decide to try through Retentions. T-Mobile has been good for me and my family throughout the years. I plan to stay as long as I continue to get a good deal. Otherwise, there are so many MVNOs I could ponder. I'm sure my wife would be "thrilled" if I even considered that option.

You keep repeating the same false information and it doesn't make it any more true. The plan hasn't changed. It was never sold as a data plan for smartphones. In addition, they've always tried to detect and block smartphone use on the plan. Sometimes they haven't been successful and thus people have been able to use the plans with a smartphones.

But you just make up this stuff about them "intentionally making it very hard on those people to keep those plans." You don't present any specifics because there are none to present. It's just another one of your completely unfounded allegations that you made up.

They are not requiring people to abandon T-zones. As I said earlier, if you have the plan, keep paying your bill and you'll still have it.

Yes.....clearly I made it up...... but anyways you're proving my point for me, so should we then expect when 5g plans to come out for them to "try and dectect and block" 5g use on plans not designed for 5g service? Also what modern non smartphone is TMobile selling that they will allow tzone users to use?

Right.

Why should they? They didn't limit 3G devices nor 4G devices to certain plans when those technologies were introduced. You're the one who is imagining that 5G will be different and that they'll have special plans for 5G technology. Except it appears to be your exclusive prediction as you can't find a credible source that says such plans are in the works.

The Alcatel Go Flip will work fine on t-zones and is currently sold by T-Mobile.

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone/alcatel-go-flip

It has LTE bands 2, 4, and 12 so that should be "modern" enough for you.

I didn't realize that was the criteria for having an opinion. again I'll ask (I asked the same thing in another forum you complained in and shockingly, you had no response) , any rules you could show that states that there must be plans in the works to have an opinion on these forums? Seems you like to try and make up and enforce rules when people say something you don't agree with. Do you have authority here to do that at all?

Any proof that they will allow the Alcatel flip on a tzone plan? You do realize those devices (newer LTE enabled flip devices) run a modified version of the Android operating system. That's how they are able to do things like volte. I doubt your claims they are allowed on tzones as you are all over the tzones thread telling people there are no branded TMobile devices they can use on tzones. So you are lying either here or there.

No, of course not. Post your opinion. But if you post your opinion you do leave it there for others to comment on it. So don't be surprised or shocked if someone has a counter-opinion now and then.

That's false. I don't make up rules. Stating that you haven't presented a credible source for 5G only plans, is just a statement of fact.

I personally haven't tried it but I've never seen any report of T-Mobile blocking a dumbphone on t-zones in all the many years the plan has been in existence. Since the plan is meant for dumbphones and that phone looks pretty dumb, any T-zone user should be fine using that on their t-zone plan. You seem to be familiar with the t-zones thread so maybe you can find an example of a dumbphone blocking that I missed. If so, let me know.
