It was most likely a false reading. I had band 13 show in my logs once and only Verizon uses it here in NYC.

Ya, I'm sure it was a false reading. I haven't ever seen that before. Never had sprint, so I really didn't know what that band was. Lol

Yes it's weird but not unheard off I once had band 13 display on my T-Mobile service. Phone read T-Mobile had signal.
I live in Myrtle Beach where 2,4,5 bands are live and band 5 is plastered all over. I only see band 4 now in part of the CA status.

This may not be the same reason for you, but I also had my phone show band 13 on T-Mobile in northern NH. Turns out I was actually roaming on Verizon band 13 but had no data service.

That's interesting! Did it actually register for voice/text roaming or was it emergency calls only?

It showed only bars with no indicator, I didn't try to make any calls though. I know it was actually Verizon because signal check pro showed the site info and I even had cell mapper running.
