You might also use the ESN checker on the Verizon website. Sometimes they have not whitelisted unlocked phones, but that should have been taken care of by now with this model.

I will keep things as they are for now but they pushing me to another provider (Red Pocket) as soon as i use my buckets

I ran into this same garbage with my Nexus 5X a few months back, they told me I could not use an unlocked phone period and refused to follow through with activation. You must have connected with the same ignorant call center group. They do not need to even know what model the device is, only the IMEI and the SIM number you are transferring to. Make sure you are giving them the IMEI.

Maybe just wait until tomorrow and hit up chat again.

You can always have them document the service time and days and ask for a support ticket number, they may not give you one so make sure to copy paste the chat conversation to your comp and also e-mail the chat transcript to yourself, click send several times.

Then use the online tool to make the transfer.

I just just went through a double transfer and after c/s documented/merged everything to the new phone I then just used the online tool to transfer all the airtime and days back over to my deactivated SIM without issue.

I was about to ask why the phone model was ever mentioned.

Just say transfer to this IMEI and SIM.

The CSR asked what model phone it was. I'm guessing that the imei came up as a no go for compatibility. The third CSR i chatted with asked the same question. The phone is an unlocked, straight from Motorola G4 the imei has not been used on any providers network and when i enter it into the checker on Tracfones web site it is compatible but i will leave it as it is using the sim card from the phone i wanted to deactivate. I ordered the sim card and service from Red Pocket today and will switch as soon as i use my Tracfone mins

You say it passes the checker so that shouldn't be the issue.

I don't recall a chat rep asking when I used them.

But if you don't plan to stay with TF the swapped SIM is fine.

Now I want to deactivate the Mini so i used chat to change my service officially to the G4 but have been told by 3 different reps using chat that the Moto G4 can not be used on tracfone. I am currently using CDMA but was told that it was not allowed on GSM either. Any suggestions
I moved my SIM from an activated LG Sunset from HSN to my Amazon Moto G4 without any problems. I will just leave the LG Sunset in a drawer as a emergency backup phone should my Moto G4 die. I have read that you should not sell it, or try to reuse it with another SIM.
